Congratulations!

Woodland Hills’ 2025 Tree City USA application has been reviewed, approved, and forwarded to the Arbor Day Foundation for their final approval.

What is a Tree City? Started in 1976, Tree City USA is a national recognition program by the Arbor Day Foundation, honoring towns and cities that actively manage and grow their urban forests by meeting four core standards: a tree board/department, a tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on forestry, and celebrating Arbor Day, providing a framework for greener, healthier communities.

This is a significant accomplishment. Congratulations to Mayor Killeen and the council.
